Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya is basking in glory following his team’s 3-0 victory over Chicken Inn in a Castle Lager premier Soccer league duel at Barbourfields Stadium on Saturday.
DeMbare were under a lot of pressure to produce favourable results following a spate of disappointing shows in their previous matches which left some sections of the club faithful baying for Ndiraya’s blood.
The Glamour Boys had initially lost to Chicken Inn in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and could not afford to lose to the same opponents this time around.
DeMbare were quick to settle in the game and were dominant from the first whistle in their bid to grind positive results.
However, their efforts could not yield anything positive as the game went to the breather tied at 0-0.
After the restart, DeMbare launched a series of attacks and managed to break the Chicken Inn defence early when steady defender Frank Makarati coolly converted a penalty after Cameroon’s Alex Orotomal was brought down inside the box.
Moments later the visitors added the second goal through Junior Makunike who exhibited his class.
As the match progressed, another import Emmanuel Paga from Ghana completely killed off the game when he scored the third for Dynamos sending the fans into a frenzy.
DeMbare are now on 39 points, two behind second-placed Chicken Inn with FC Platinum topping the table on 47 points after their 1-0 win against ZPC Kariba on Saturday.
